First make sure you are using at least a 12 guage speaker wire for sub connections. Second make sure you have plenty of breathing room in your mounting position, these things need air badly. Third of all, Xplods are not very friendly if they are cranked all the way up on your dB boost knob. Only crank it about 3/4 of the way up, then use your equalizer settings to tweak the thump.

I Have a Sony Xplod 800 watt amp and 2 12 inch Sony Xplod subs

You should definately bridge them. Firstly, lay the 2 speakers face down next to each other. Note the connections +- +-. The first + will go to the amplifier. The next terminal(-) will be connected to the next speaker(+). Take the last(-) and connect to amplifier. Please note that your amplifier has a bridge section which is normally the first + and the last- on the two channels. Connect your woofers on the bridge.

Sony Xplod

If your still getting a green light, it at least sounds like the amplifier portion may still be funcitonal. Perhaps your inputs are blown. If your comfortable with electronics, pop the cover, and try patching a signal directly to the amplifier stage. and of course check your source.

Xplod amp screws

If youre not terribly picky about the looks just go to lowes or a hardware store and find one with similar threads and clamp that wire down-had similar problem with power terminal screw on a kenwood amp i got a panhead sheetmetal screw and drilled it right into the terminal and made my own threads and it works fine-good luck hope it helps
