Zoom error How do i correct a zoom error

  • Anonymous Jun 22, 2008

The lens will not retract. the same error message pops up. I believe moisture caused this as I had a small ziplock bag of ice in the same area as camera.

Yes, moister can damage a digital camera.

You may try this... As you turn on the camera try to gently pull or push on the lens.

Camera won't zoom correctly.

Lens errors (Zoom Errors on FinePix) are fairly common. Usually it's sand or grit interfering with the lens extension mechanism. Or the camera's been dropped with the lens extended. Or the camera has been powered on, but the lens had been blocked preventing its extension. Or the battery ran down with the lens extended ...Here are some troubleshooting steps that you can try that may (or may not) correct it. They only seem to work for less than 40% of the lens errors, but if the camera is out of warranty (or repair cost approaches that of the camera), they're worth that try. Some of the later steps do involve some risk to the camera, so carefully weigh your options before deciding to conduct them:

The lense is stuck at full zoom and the camera has an error message whenever it turns on to turn the camera off and on again. I cannot take pictures or control the zoom.

Zoom on fuji f650 stuck

Hi Sandra, Try power reset for your camera. Turn the camera on, and without turning the camera off, open the battery door and take the batteries out. Leave it for a minute or two. This helps camera get reset and helps correct the basic functionality and also zoom error. Hope it helps u otherwise u will have to take it to authorised repair center. Good Luck.

Zoom error

Turn Camera off remove batteries for a few moments. Re insert batteries. Turn on will reset itself. Ensure you use correct focus settings as per instructions. If you dont use correct settings this problem will reoccur.
