Zoom error How do i correct a zoom error

    The lens will not retract. the same error message pops up. I believe moisture caused this as I had a small ziplock bag of ice in the same area as camera.

    My camera was dropped so now the screen says zoom error and the zoom wont go in or out.

Yes, moister can damage a digital camera.

You may try this... As you turn on the camera try to gently pull or push on the lens.

Or the camera has been powered on, but the lens had been blocked preventing its extension. The lense is stuck at full zoom and the camera has an error message whenever it turns on to turn the camera off and on again. I cannot take pictures or control the zoom.

I try to turn of my camera but my zooming in thing doesnt go in and if you want to take pictures it says zoom error also when you try to turn it of the lenses that cover the camera doesnt cover.

Zoom on fuji f650 stuck


Hi Sandra, Try power reset for your camera. Turn the camera on, and without turning the camera off, open the battery door and take the batteries out. Leave it for a minute or two. This helps camera get reset and helps correct the basic functionality and also zoom error. Hope it helps u otherwise u will have to take it to authorised repair center. Good Luck.

Zoom error


Turn Camera off remove batteries for a few moments. Re insert batteries. Turn on will reset itself. Ensure you use correct focus settings as per instructions. If you dont use correct settings this problem will reoccur.
