If the refrigerator is running without any other problems, then just replace the fan motor. Here is the fan and it is only $36.80. No where near $100.00!

My freezer is cold with some ice at the back and water drops by the door the fridge is not hot but it is not cold either why?

sound like your evapartor coil is freezing up. Does the evaporator fan run? you should be able to hear it when you open up the door. if it not then thats your problem. if it is running you may have an airflow problems I would first clean the condenser coil on the back of the box down at the bottom I use a still hair brush and a vaccum cleaner to clean all the dirt and gunk out. The first thing your going to have to do is let the evapartor coil thaw out and you need to unplug the unit to do this or take a hair dyer on low and thaw it out. If this doesn't do it I would take a look at the defrost timer and heater. Good luck and I hope this helps. Check to see if your fan is running on the condenser also.

We have a sub zero 550 fridge with freezer on bottom. Our freezer is not holding temperature. There is grinding sound when we open like a fan scraping.

its problably your evapartor fan and it located in the back of the freezer you will have to take out the plastic lining on the freezer to access the fan not real hard just take some time. once you have it out plug it in and see if the fan is hitting. I hoped I helped you.

Freezer builds ice on inside wall not cold in refrigerator whats worng

your evapartor is freezing up. you have an airflow problem or low on freon. I would first clean the condeser which is on the back of the unit by the compressor you will see a fan and a coil I use a brush and vaccum cleaner to clean it. You will have to turn off the unit to unfreeze the coil. You might listen in the freezer to see if you hear the fan running. if it is not the fan is located behind the plastic sheild in the freezer. sounds like the defrost timer or defrost heater is not working,

Our freezer continues to forms frost/ice along inner backside and is not freezing our foods properly. we have defrosted it over and over yet problem continues

sounds like the evapartor is freezing up. Have you tried cleaning the condesor coil on the back of the unit. It is located by the compressor take a vaccum cleaner and clean the lint and dirt off of it. then see if this does the trick if it doesn't I would check the defrost timer it is inside the box behind the plastic liner.

I have the lg lfc25760st. i too paid a LOT of money for this fridge, first new fridge I've ever had. What a disappointment! I get th erdh code. Doe sthis also have to do with the freezer fan? I understand...

With all the sophistication, all these codes are normally simple problems. With yours, i would suggest a good 12 hour defrost with no cheating as the insulation is good. When complete, wipe up melted water and switch back on. Most of the time just leaving the door open for a little to long can cause havoc with the defrost circuit. Let me know.
