I powered up the board. all fans lights came on for about 4 seconds also only had ram/ processor hooked up

Hi.

the problems lies under the fixing your processor.

Remove processor. replace it again carefully. remove mouse and keyboard. remove any PCI and AGP etc.

Start the pc " POWER ".

If it continues doing the same, - no sweat,,,

Check for a new Processor and replace ram as well.

Start the pc. "power".

If success comes up. then by that time you would have the solution.

plug keyboard and mouse..

Start the computer and enjoy.

Good Luck

Why my mouse and keyboard hangup when i attach my flash

It sounds like you could be low on memory or your processor is working super hard.

To fix this, first, check and see how much ram you have by right clicking on "My Computer", then click "Properties". Your processor speed and ram will be shown in the window. If you have less than 256 MB of RAM, or a processor less than 1.2 GHz, then you might need to upgrade your processor or RAM.

Microsoft Wireless Mouse and Windows Vista

I'm having pretty much the same problem with my Microsoft Wireless 4000 mouse and my hp-compaq 8510p laptop. If I shut my machine down, or restart, my mouse no longer works. I have to uninstall/reinstall the Intellipoint software. The synaptics touch pad continues to work, but the mouse fails.
