My broken usb socket

My laptop (dell latitude) has only one usb socket and now it's broken (bent pins) beyond repair - what can i do? can I use the 9 pin connector next to it to connect my d-link dongle?

Use a PCMCIA to USB adapter like this one:

Purchase a PCMCIA USB Adapter. Will fit in the little card slot and add 2 or 4 more USB Ports.
