- Thanks anyway Jeremy, I wasn't too clear myself, its a Starlogic monitor for my computer and since I've had it awhile I can't find
my paperwork nor buttons anywhere.
-   everything is very dark as if the brightness needs to be adjusted...but that does not work when I go to display and try to rectify it.
-   jitsy
It could be a few things, it may be the monitor itself, which naturally has dark picture.
Or by factory default the monitor has low brightness.
Try going into the menu and putting the brightess up.
Most monitors have low brightness by default.
have a happy new year.

After sitting idle for a period of time, the monitor (Maginnovision)will turn black after I hit a key to get the desktop back. I then have to do a hard shutdown and reboot. Sometimes this happens when I go to start up the computer in the morning. Any suggestions? Thanks.
