Re: shutting off

The kero heaters aren't really a pain to work on if you have a basic knowledge of what is to happen. Someone reported on one of their heaters that the motor armature was a tad oversized and wouldn't spin. He contacted the dealer and they supplied him with a new motor armature. reddy heat didn't issue a recall because they couldn't find the heaters. Ignition sources are the hot surface igniter or the spark plug type. The motor end air compressors are a vane type with close tolerances. The air pressure is 3.0 - 3.5 psi. The fuel nozzle forms a venturi that produces a vacuum that sucks the fuel up into it. the cad cell or photocell detects the ultraviolet in the flames and completes the lockout relay. no flame no woikee. the detector circuit has a solid state device called a triac. it is just a glorified motor contactor without all the movable contact stuff. it will carry 40 amps when its working right. you can bypass the safety circuit by jumping out the red wire and the black. the fan motor will run all the time.

My all-pro uk115t shuts off after a few seconds

This is normally due to either a clogged intake filter, or water in the fuel. To rinse the intake filter and the tank, put in a quart of fuel and shake, shake, shake to rinse crud off filter and dump out. Otherwise you'll have to disassemble to get to the filter. To remove water from fuel, dump it into a bucket. The water will coalesce in the bottom, then pour slowly back into the tank, leaving the 'bubble' of water in the bucket.

The furnace will only kick on after you shut the switch off for a few seconds.....

Shutting off the unit will reset the computer and erase the failure code. That is why it seems to be temporarily correct the problem. It seems that the unit is probably over heating. Because you said that it will run again after reseting the power. Try changing the filter and resetting the power.

Runs than shuts off after a few seconds

Is this a propane or kerosene heater? If it is kerosene, check your fuel, clean your tank and start with fresh fuel. Check your fuel filter/air filters at the back of air pump. Make sure your ignition system is working.

Coleman gas furnace. Burner will re-fire for a few seconds during the cooldown. Model G8C07512MUB12A

This is a little complicated because it can be several things and you need to provide more specific info....It could be your furnace is shutting off on the High Limit...which means your furnace is running too hot...check the filter , return air vents etc would be an airflow problem...dirty blower....Furnace can be too big for your house....when the furnace shuts off on High LImit , the fan will continue to blow air , cooling it down as usual and once the furnace cools enough to reset the high limit trhe furnace will Ignite again as long as the thermostat is still calling for heat . The furnace could also be running too long and getting too hot....your Ductwork can be too small...many factors come into play

Kerosene Portable Forced Air heater comes on, runs awhile

Here is a link to your owner's manual... Look on page 8 and 10. It could be several things. It could only be a dirty fuel filter or the pump pressure may just need adjustment. If you need a part you can contact Master Parts at 800-466-1446 or you can find them on-line at I hope this helps!
