Question about Acer Aspire 5630 Notebook
I have an Acer Aspire 5630 laptop and it froze when i was ripping a CD onto the computer so i turned it off and now just a black screen with the mouse cursor appears. It won't let me turn it off to try and put it into safe mode, the power button won't turn it off. Please help! Oh, and Merry Christmas :)
Hi, ok you only have a few options
hold the power button in for about 10seconds should turn it off.
if it dont then you can remove the battery from the laptop by turning it upside down and theres a slide button to remove it. if you use the laptop on the mains without the battery, all you need to do is pull out the mains cable and it will go off.
to fix problem, go into safe mode, click run, type msconfig. click start up on top right, and untick anything that you dont need loading on startup (if you disable the wrong one it wont do any damage, as long as u only untick ones in that start up group.
Have a nice new year
