vip 622 rebooting. receiver works when just plugged in,once satellite cables attached, will work for a while then reboots. Can get it going again if take satellite cables off then put them back on. But if try an HD channel, shuts down immediately and hard to get going again. Is the problem the satellite cable or the receiver? The plug and ground have been tested they are good.

this problem occurs when the ground on the Dish is not properly connected. What is happening is the cables from the dish are backfeeding voltage and grounding out your rec. Now there could be a possiblity that it could be the rec. however if it stays powered on with the sat in cables discon. then it defintley sounds like a grounding issue.
