Casio EXZ75 Camera

I received this camera as a gift. I set the language, city date and time but everytime I shut off the camera I have to reset it. Am I doing something wrong?

I'm also having the same, identical issue with my
EX-Z75. Every time I power the camera off, then turn it back on, I end
up at the world map to set the time zone and have to walk through every
    single step all over again.

I've tried all of the following to no resolve,

    • Backing up and reformatting my 1GB SD Flash Memory card

    • Removing both the battery and the SD card, checking for dirt buildup, dust on either.

    • Skipping over certain steps, or the entire setup
screen entirely by hitting the 'menu' button near the bottom right
      (next to the BS button).
Another issue that I've found is that
this is also resetting any customization settings you applied to my
camera, having to not only skip over/reset all your settings every
single time you'd like to take a picture, but namely changing back my
flash preferences, switching video mode from 4:3 (fullscreen) to 16:9
(widescreen) and turning Shake Control back on to "auto" instead of off.

    This
sucks a lot because if you are trying to snap a picture, a camera that
was once fast in getting off the ground and grabbing the shot you want
now seems like a programming menace every time you want to use the
    thing.

    Any solutions out there yet?

Your problem does not lye on any memory card. it is because the internal battery that helps the cmos "cameras internal memory" hold its settings has gone out and needs tobe replaced. all you need is 2 1.5 volt hearing aid batteries stacked and taped +-+- and soldiered in place of the old cmos battery. witch is located on the front side bottom close to the bottom left of the lens. and placed next to the speaker. get some small batteries to do this het smaller the better for placement location.Hope this helps I have done this to a few camera's and it works fine.

Casio EXZ75 Camera - moz-screenshot.jpgMy wife's z75 has this problem for months and it was maddening. It took some research and some fooling around with different tricks, but I found the fix and posted it on fixya at the link below.

FYI, very few digital cameras have CMOS circuits anymore. Flash memories have replaced them, in part, because they don't have button batteries that have to be replaced every few years. The internal flash memory is the root of this problem with the z75

How do I manually re-set the time on my Casio Exilim camera? I have set the worldtime etc, but it's about two and half years behind and I can't work out how to re-set it. This has been a problem...

Press MENU. On the "Set Up" tab, select "Adjust" then press cursor-right. Use cursor-left/right to move between fields, cursor-up/down to change them. Press SET when done.

The instructions are in the "Changing the Camera Date and Time Settings" section of the manual (page 165 in my copy), which discusses both the world time settings and the home city date and time. If you need a manual, you can download a copy from

Have to reset date and time every time I turn it on!

If you have to do that each time you shut it off and turn it back on try this. Take your memory card out and format your internal memory. Reset the camera and then re-enter the information. Shut the camera off and turn it back on and hopefully it will still be in there. If not then you have an internal memory error and that needs to be fixed by Casio.

Settings

Give the following a try:

How do I maintain the settings when I Power ON/OFF my Casio digital camera?

Turn the camera ON and switch to REC.
Press the MENU button.
Using the controller, scroll to the Memory tab.
To have any one or ALL so settings maintained when turned OFF, scroll down to each and then to the right. Any settings you want to be maintained when the camera is turned back ON must be set to ON.
Any setting set to OFF will NOT be maintained when the camera is turned OFF.
