Re: Have ONE phone - ONE base station - still says...
I do not have a user's manual for this handset GE25932EE-1A, it is charging okay and on the display shows READY but, when pressing the TALK or SPEAKER button the display will show TALK or SPEAKER responding to whichever button I pressed then the display shows UNAVAILABLE then display READY. I do not hear dial tone at all...??? the power cord and the line-cord are all connected, there is power and there is dial-tone available.

You'll need to consult the user guide that came with the base station, and follow the instructions to reset the base station to its factory settings. I searched for a user guide online, but couldn't find one for you.
for using FixYa. Please follow these steps to resolve the issue: Connect
the charger and then plug the power supply unit into the wall socket. Now insert the two batteries supplied To register your handset to a base
station, place it in the main base station with the display facing upward.
After approx. one minute, the handset's internal number is Displayed (e.g. 2).
Successful registration is signaled by a confirmation tone. Replace the newly
registered handset into the charger and leave to charge for Approximately 16
hours. The charging status icon flashes on the handset to indicate that the
batteries are being charged. To register it manually: Press the MENU options button. Press the DOWN button until the display shows REGISTER HS. Press the OK button. Display shows PIN. Enter your 4-digit Pin (original
setting 0000). Press the OK button. Display flashes REGISTER HS. Following the user guide for the
base station you are registering to place the base into registration mode. Please do
accept the solution if the issue is resolved or else revert for further
assistance. Thanks Rylee
When you see this 'register' message, it means that that particular DECT handset must be registred to the selected 'Base' station: please consult your User manual/guide for the steps by steps instruction on how to register a new handset to your base station for the specific compatible model(s).
If the base station is plugged into the phone line you should be able to designate one phone as the master. That phone should be on the base station when charging. If you look in the manual it should show you how to redo the master. It's usually just pushing a button when on the station. Just takes a second. That will also enable the phone to work with the base station. It locks out any phones that haven't been physically connected to the bases. To do the second phone you may have to do a slightly differant process to register it with the bases.
If you cannot register the handset then here are some possible causes and solutions for them.
Cause 1:The handset and the base station were not prepared for registration.
Solution: Unplug and then plug in the power adapter.
Cause2:The handset or the base station has not been entered into registration mode.
Solution: See User Manual for correct registration of base station and handset.
Cause3:The base station is registered full.
Solution: Press [Page Key] on the base station to page the registered handsets,
then perform the deregistration operation. Finally, register the
handset you want to use.
Here is few more of additional info. if you want:
Register the Handset to the Base
Place the accessory handset in the base station of the system. For some
simple systems this may be all you need to do to register the new
handset. If so, the LCD screen will read "Registration Complete." Step 2:
Press the "menu" button on the base station, scroll down to "register handset" and press "ok."
Press and hold either "#" or "OK" (depending on the brand) on your
handset until your hear the indicator tone. At this time the LCD should
confirm the handset is registered.
Reset Handsets with the Base
Clear the registration information from the base if you want to register your handset to a new base.
Hold and [#] down on the base for a minimum of 5 seconds or until the "System Reset" menu appears.
Choose the "deregister" option from the menu and scroll down to the handset you wish to remove.
Press "OK" to de-register the correct handset. Press "yes" when you are
asked if you are sure, and wait for the confirmation tone.
Reset Handsets without the Base
Hold and [#] down on the phone for a minimum of 5 seconds until the "System Reset" menu appears.
Choose the "base unavailable" menu, select "yes" and press the "OK" button.
Goodluck, Please don't forget to rate the solution.
I think this may be the answer. With multiple handsets reading "Please register" and a "working" base station (w ith dial tone). If you bring the remote units to the base station and place them on hte base, they will register and stay registered after you return them to the remote base. It doesn't say this anywhere in the instructions as it gives you the impression the remotes will register from their own base.
You may need to "reset" the whole system. Do this by : 1 Unplug phone line, power to charger base, and remove the batteries. 2 Wait a couple of minutes. 3 Plug in batteries first, then phone line, and finally the power cord.
Then try to set the phones in the basecharger to register.
With a little searching I was not able to confirm this phone could handle more than one cordless handset. Are you replacing a defective handset or trying to add a second. If adding, do you know if it can handle the second unit (is it advertised on the box, in the user guide, etc?)
If replacing, you most likely have to de-register the old handset on the base unit before you can register a new one.
If you are adding, try de-registering the working handset anyway and registering the new one. If the new one registers and you cannot re-register the once working phone you will know either the system cannot handle two phones or (if the new one will not register but you can again re-register the original) that the new handset has a problem and should be returned.
