Toner light is on and I have a new cartridge in it

The toner sensor where the cartridge is loaded is fouled or you refilled this cartridge and the printer does not reconise the toner inside and thinks its empty ether or sensor or refilled cartridge the printer thiks there is no toner.

1. Did you refill the toner?
2. Brand new cartridge > take it back to the retailer if that does not work the printer will need repair.
