To sync the correct 12 hour with your day you need to set the date to the day before (if today is Wed 21, then make sure the day window reads Tues 20). Then spin the analog hands until the the date window turns to Wed 21. At this point your watch is reading 12 AM (midnight). Then keep turning to set the correct time. If it is 9 am then stop the hands the first time you hit the 9 marker. If it is 9pm, then keep turning until the SECOND TIME your hour hand meets the 9 marker. This is now set for 9 pm. The day (Mon thru Sun) sometimes needs to be set seperately from the day; it may take a couple of tries but use the directions above and patience and you will achieve your goal.
That's how you do it. If you need more clarification let me know.

I have a Tissot Automatic PR 516 from the early 70s. Time is kept well. Date moves forward correctly but it is the wrong date. I am unable to turn back the date. I am able to turn back the day. Any...

The crown wheel (winder) should have 3 positions, (1) the normal winding position (3) fully out; at this position the watch stops and the time can be adjusted.

(2) This position is between the 1 & 2 and is used to adjust the day and date. If you wish to change the date by winding the crown backwards or forwards.

Since watches can very a little, if turning the crown when in position 2 the date does not change, pull the crown to position 3 and turn the hands until you pass the midnight position, when the date will change and then re-set the time. If you wish to advance the time more than one day, when it changes, wind the crown backwards past the midnight position and then wind it forwards again. Repeat until the correct date is showing and then re-set the time. The exact distance you need to turn the crown to change the date will have to be found by experimenting!

I have an eco drive and recently in trying to set the clock back to regular time, I must have done something wrong. The time is correct but the date, and day are one day forward. How do I correct this?

the crown of the watch has two clicks, pull it gently once and you can set the date and day, pull it gently again a second time and you can set the time. The proper way to set the time and date is to set first the day, date late at the actual date, then move the hands around the clock until the date change at 12 oclock this is evening, then moving the hands around until you reach the actual time. By doing so you will set the day, date and time in syn to 24 hrs change.

example: you want to change it to sat 12th 11am
set the day and date to fri 11th
then move the hands around clockwise until the day and date change at 12 oclock continue moving the hands until you reach 11am

Hi, I just purchased an Invicta 4718 watch, and although I have the date set correctly, the DAY is wrong. Does anyone know how to change the day?

Pull crown out 1/2 way to fist click. Rotate one direction for date and the other direction for day. Should be clockwise (right) for day and counterclockwise (left) for date.

How do I change the "day of the week" on my Tommy Bahama 1072 watch?

But the first notch, or first snap, is the secret and the key to setting the Day and Date! In the first notch position, you'll see that if you spin the Crown one way, it will change the Day. Spin it in the opposite direction and it changes the Date! Do keep in mind that you may have to spin the Day and Date a couple rotations because it most likely will alternate between English and Spanish. Just pick the correct Language for you and it's done! When the Day and Date are set, push the Stem in all the way and enjoy your Watch! If you still have the problem with your Watch changing Dates at Noon instead of Midnight, that just means you're on the wrong 12 hr cycle. (It's set for Twelve at Night instead of Twelve at Noon) All you need to do is pull the Stem all the way out, (second notch) and Spin the Minute and Hour hands ahead 12 hours. If it's Twelve O'Clock, spin it ahead until it's Twelve O'Clock again. Doing that will put the Watch on the correct 12 hour cycle. Granted, you may have to reset your Day and Date again since you just advanced it, but at least you'll be in the correct Time Zone! How to set an Armitron watch. Can't set the days correctly.

mcdevito75 here, The stem has 2 positions, Carefully slip a fingernail under the stem and lift, it may take a few trys to get used to it, in this first position you should be able to set the DATE very easily and Maybe the DAY of the wwek also, turn the stem 1 way to change the DATE and the other way For the DAY of the week., Let"s figure you can only set the DATE in this first position, First thig to do is set the DAY of the week, go thru the watches 24 hour cycle and set the DAY to 1 DAY before the DAY you need, now in that first position of the stem, set the DATE to 1 DATE before the DATE you need, now in the 2nd position we all know pull the stem out to set the time of day, go thru the 24 hour cycle to bring up the DAY of the week and DATE you need. Now your watch is set and will change on tome at around mid-nite.

Date Changes during the day

Hi Jeffrey, Put stem into "set hands" position and adjust hands to the 12:00 position. Day and date should advance at or close to that time. If you pass 12:00 and there's no change continue rotating another 12 hours and they should advance. Once youv'e found that there's midnight so if you're setting the time at say four (4:00) in the afternoon (pm) you will neew to rotate the hands so around the dial so they pass 12:00 once more then four hours more to 4:00. Now I assume by bilingual you mean that the day ring has like Mon (monday) and Lun for Spanish or the like. In this case if it's showing the wrong languare set the crown (winder) to the first position (second posn is "set hands) and rotate winder eithr clockwise or anticlockwise. Once you discover how to advance the day ring just set it to the correct day/language you want and press the crown home. Hope this solves your problem. If the advances are changing at some obscure time like 8:40 or something it's because the hands pave been located incorrectly and would need correcting by removing movement from the case.

Change day on dial

Pull out the crown to the first click- the watch is in day-date setting mode. Turn the crown one way- the date will change. Turn the crown another way- the day will change.
