The correct way to start the wash cycle

We have purchased a used Fagor FI-48W dishwasher, it does not have a manual.
The instructions we have do not make any sense.
It seems to take 25 minutes to reach temperature.

Can someone help with simple instructions on how this thing should be used.

We just got the FI-48W and can't understand the manual either. We have no clue how to feed it detergent and rinse aid through the 2 thin tubes in the back and have called Ecolab to see if they'll help.

We have been using this dishwasher for two years and it took time to figure out the best operating method.

Start with hot tap water.
Run first cycle once wash water reaches 150. The rinse water may not yet be at 180.
Wait until second cycle rinse water reads 180. This will take more time than normal. You should then be on your way.

Always wait for proper water temp before staring a cycle or dishwasher will run longer until temp is reached. (Machine is usually smarter than the operator.)
Rinse dishes & pots well before placing in dishwasher.
Previous reply correctly advised on feeding soap & rinse agents.
Make sure you use proper commercial "machine dish detergent" !!!!

Warning - repairs will be costly. Replacing detergent pump after two years operation cost 700 dollars.

We have just purchased a Fagor dishwasher also - the instruction manual is worthless.

in regards to the 2 thin tubes, we just inserted them in the gallon jugs that the soap/rinse agents comes in and it works fine. just make sure the clear tube without the label goes in the rinse agent and the labeled tube goes in the soap jug. we did drill a hole in the top cap of the jugs and pushed the line thru and that helped keeping the tubes in the jugs and minimized the mess if the jugs fell over.

in regards to the temperature problem, we found that running it thru a couple of cycles before you start the actual dishes helped get the water temperature up faster. it seems to like to start with normal tap hot water first, so the 1st couple of cycles get the cold water out of the line.

we have this dishasher at church. we have found that if you drain it total of 2 times, it heats up the water right away the next time you use it. the 1st drain gets rid of the water in the bottom of the tub. the second drain you pull the center tube in the middle of the basket. that will drain the 2nd tank that is holding the hot water for the next wash cycle. if you drain that 2nd tank also, you will not have cold water in the tank the next time you use the dishwasher. you can then drain it a 3rd time wth the plug out to make sure it's empty. the just put the food strainer basket back on, inset the center plug and you not have a temp delay the next time you use the dishwasher.

Takes half an hour to fill before it will start, then have to manually fill for it to drain

more then likely it is the fill solenoid. either there is dirt in it or the coil is weak.

THe dishwasher is not draining and runs out onto the floor. What should we do?

Drain is plugged between the sink and dishwasher. It has to be unclogged. best advice call a plumber. other tricks fill up the sink with water and use a plunger to pull the sludge through.

typically a general rule of thumb is 2degrees fahrenhiet per minute so if if its 72 dergees (22C) (normal room temp) it would take 36 or so minutes to reach 145 f (62c)

Need to replace door spring

I have a similar, but not identical, model. The method is to remove the plastic lower moulding and the relevant side using a star-type screwdriver, then the spring is visible and a replacement easily slipped into place.

The machine won't go into rinse if the rinse isn't hot enough. Check the thermal trip hasn't operated and that the thermostat bulb us fully inserted into the pocket in the front of the boiler.
