    Check to see if the computer needs to be defragged. Right Hand click on my computer and go to manage. Look for Disk defragmentor (the 3rd from the bottom) Click on the analyze button and it will tell you if it needs to be defragged. Click on the defragment button and walk away from it until it is done. It makes a world of differents.

Download Malware Bytes from http://www.malwarebytes.org/mbam.php and run the quick scan.

Also, Go to the Control Panel and to Internet Options and delete all cookies and temporary internet files.

Do you have anti-virus software? Make sure you run that periodically. If not then AVG free is not bad.

Also bare in mind the time of day will affect browsing performance as well as what else you are doing at the same time (such as downloading or running other programs on your pc).

Hope that helps

Running slow

To increase internet speed
* Check to see if faster internet connections are in your area:
Fiber optic and cable internet tend to be faster than DSL and dial-Up.
*Do some basic maintenance on your PC:
a scan disk, a virus scan, a malware scan, and clear your recycle bin.Delete old files and temporary files.
* Reset Your Modem
Sometimes switching OFF and ON your modem helps you to speed the internet.
* Optimize your cache or temporary Internet files.
These files improve your Internet connection performance by not downloading the same file over and over.* Replace your old cable modem
* Upgrade your router firmware
* Upgrade your computer.
* Try pressing Ctrl-Alt-Delete simultaneously and open up the Task Manager. Go to the process menu and close those processes that may be stealing your valuable bandwidth.
* Download programs that make browsing faster:
A good tool to increase internet speed is Internet Cyclone.
Loband.org is a browser inside of a browser that loads web pages without the images.
Firefox and Opera both have options to disable images.

After you have tried some of this,try your connection again using Scanmyspeed.com and see if you get improved speed results. If you are not satisfied Call your Internet service provider (ISP) and check whether upgradation of your plan is necessary.

My phones internet is slow how can it be faster

It depends what browsing speed your network has given you.
It also depends if you have good connection.

If you're on 02, and in a low connection area, but your friend is on Vodafone with a high connection, his will be significantly faster.

Make sure your internet settings are set to "3g" also.

This can usually be done in the call settings.

Slow browsing problem

Let me guess. You just tried to download the latest online video game and it is nearly taking you 3 hours when the download time itself says 40 minutes. Well, don't worry - there are many ways to speed up Internet or fix slow browsing problems. You can speed up your Internet by even half if you just make a few minor adjustments in your Browser options. There are multiple reasons for this happening such as Uncle Larry using the computer or other neighbors sharing your connection as well. To speed up Internet connection, you could try upgrading your modem or even adjusting your Internet settings too.
1.To get faster Internet, I would strongly look to your Internet service provider so you can upgrade. The best modem is 56.6 kb for recommendation. You always want to make sure you have the best quality you can from your Internet Service provider.
2.Make sure your connection isn't shared. By this, I mean setting a password protection on your connection. This way people from outside the area won't be able to tap into your Internet and pull directly from you. Some people are not aware of this, so it's always a good idea to look into the situation before you think something is wrong with your browsing speed.
3.If you want to fix slow browsing problems, try changing the telephone modem with DSL, ISDN, or satellite. With these, you will speed up Internet without any problem.
4.Try resizing your Internet cache to get faster Internet. Do this by clicking "tools" under "Internet Options". Go to the "General" tab and look for your browsing history. Click on "Settings". There should be something that says "Disk space storage". It's best to change it to 50 MB or less in order to speed up Internet connection.
I hope you find it very helpful. Thanks.

Slow Browsing

First of all, test what your actual speed is - for instance at http://www.4nettech.com/corp/internet-speed-test.html . If that shows that your Internet connection is fast, try cleaning up your browser, use Firefox instead of Internet Explorer, run a registry cleaner. Also temporarily turn off your antivirus program and visit one or two well-known safe sites (don't browse the Web in general without antivirus!) and see if the antivirus might be the culprit.

Internet explorer is very slow

hi,
data card doesn't give you speed like broadband like speed. it connects you only at a speed of about 144 kbps. For a faster browsing... you can try browsers like firefox(realtively faster than Internet explorer) and opera (where you can disable images or set it to show cached images only ) . browsing will be comparitively faster.

hope to get rated as helpful.
