I just bought the Hitachi DZ-MV550A NTSC camcorder and I cant get it to play on dvd player on the TV Can you please help me Thank you

you need to finalize the disc. With the recorded disc in, hit the "disc navigation" button and you will see a place to hit "finalize". Move cursor to "finalize" and then click "yes". You can only finalize a disc using the AC power source, it will not do it from your battery. You should then be able to play it on your dvd player.

Problem with SD card for Hitachi DZMV550A

Never mind, just ignored my posted note.
I just get confused . Had been tried to follow the instruction manual book, but the book doesn't mentioned max capacities of the SD memory card, so I called Hitachi Service Hotline, and they gave me helpful hints which is I should use max 1 GB SD memory card.
Thank you.

Where to find a charger for my hitachi dz-mv550a video camera.

Go to the Hitachi website and you will be able to buy the accessories. I should think that you will be able to obtain your charger from there.

I need help

I know I may be a couple weeks late however, I will still try to help. If you don't know at all how to do it then I would suggest reading the manual or PDF that came with the camera. The DVDCAM has a built in function that allows you to finalize a disk right in the menu options. If you knew that, and are pretty sure you are following directions, then I would suggest trying a different type of disk.( brand of disk) I've also heard of people having finalizing trouble with this camera due to a harware fault in the camera. That means you will have to get it replaced, hopefully under warrenty. Hope this gets you stated.

Re: Hitachi DZ-MV550A, NTSC DVD Camcorder

The answer depends on a lot of things. If you plug your cam in and it doesn't make that happy plug and play sound, then it could possibly be your usb port. If your PC recognizes that a USB periphial has been connected but does not install the drivers correctly, then you should make sure that you have the right cam drivers for your operating system. If that has went correctly then there's one more test to see if your pc has recognized the camera. Go to my computer look at all of the drive letters for one that is not there whenever the camera is unpluggedc. If a drive shows up when the cam is plugged in, then it recognized your cam, especially if you can navigate to folders within that are labeled DCIM or RTAV.
