I recv'd photo frame for Christmas present. So excited, plugged in USB flash stick containing some slide photos, selected photos on the frame and the slide show started. Wanted to add more photos to the slide show, So I too out the flash stick and added more photos to the flash stick -reinserted flash stick in the frame, selected photo and the original slide show comes up. How do I get the photo frame to read what is on the Flash stick, I'm very frustrated, have tried changing settings, etc. The instruction manual is not very good. Thank you

- I have taken all my pictures from my pc and recopied them into one file and copied that file to my flash drive. When I plug the flash drive into the photo frame only the 1st picture in the new folder of saved pictures appears on the frame, it doesn't go to a slide show. How do I achieve the slide show feature, This is very frustrating. My first inquiry was under #4726. Please help me resolve this. Thank you.

My photos are showing up on the screen so that the top half of the screen is the bottom portion of the photo and the bottom half of the screen is showing the top half of the photo. This just started happening after I loaded more images to the SD disc. How can I correct? I have already deleted everything off the card and then reloaded them. I even switched cards and it is still happening.

I initially had some of these problems. I think cleaning off anything that wasn't a photo helped most. To get the correct aspect (no stretching or squeezing), I trimmed the pics so that the short side was 55% of the long side - usually 640x352. I've used a 256MB SD card as well as a 1GB USB flash drive.

I kick start my frame from SD, pull the SD and the USB begins to load. After a short slide show the d%mn thing powers off. To add insult to injury, you then have to configure the unit over!

I had the same problem. I made a folder on my USB drive called "pictures", moved the picture file into it. Then it worked. It doesn't seem to like the pictures on the root drive.

Hi there everyone,
It seems from reading your problems of the digital photo frame pictures original pictures reading ok and not the one's you load after.
  • You need to check the format of the pictures that you have saved to the memory card or usb flash memory stick. which ever your are using. They need to be in the same format as your digital photo frame accepts. For eg. JPEG,BNG and GIF and so on.
  • Your instruction manuel should tell you which format your digital photo frame accepts. If not goto ebay type digital photo frames and look for the same digital photo frame that you have and read description of that advertised.
  • If nothing works then last you will have to Re-format your sd memory card or usb flash memory stick which ever you are using. By Re-formatting it will get rid off all clutter and rubbish that is in the memory which is corrupt and stopping the photos being shown . Once Re- formatted it will be just like a new memory card or usb flash memory.
  • How to format:- Open My computer, Right click on the Removable drive that you see and need to format such as whether sd card or usb flash. It will come up as Removable drive. When you right clicked on it a box will open in it you will see the FORMAT statement. Click on it and another box opens it will ask you format instructions just follow and click ok. After about 30 sec. your memory will be formatted and ready to be used again.
  • Now add all the photos that you want to add and try it. But make sure you save the PHOTOS in the RIGHT FORMAT that your digital photo frame reads.
  • Last thing if non of the above works Please check what SIZE of memory card your digital photo frame takes eg.:- 128M, 256M,512M or 1GB. It might be that you are putting bigger memory card in it. If that is the case it will not work. You need the right size of memory card that it specify in the instructions or check with high street stores such as Curries and Comet stores or even on line.
I hope my instructions above will help someone or all of you. Wish all the best. Good Luck.

Your friend.

I had the same problem with an SD card. It would show pictures from the SD card I used in my camera but not the one I bought for the frame. I got it to work by using the new card in my camera so that it would set up the folders that store the pictures. Then I copied the pictures from my PC into the folders on the SD card using the card reader on my PC. When I put it into the frame it worked fine.

Forget the SD and or CF card. Put the file of pics on a usb flash drive and insert that in the photo frame, it reads and displays the pics fine that way. Any other way is a head ache. Better yet, dump the frame and get a better one than this cheap trash from Target, like I did, they are easier and cheaper now

I have a similar problem. The frame would not read my 512MB Toshiba SD card. It said "No Playable Files". It read my USB drive just fine. I then used a Sandisk 1G SD card and it read fine. It is very frustrating that there is a lack of information in the users manual about card issues. The 512MB card is old so maybe there is a slight variation in physical specs causing an issue.

Me, too. I downloaded a picture from a card reader to the memory card. The photo shows up on the computer as being on the card, but when I plug the card into the Tru tech digital frame, only the photos that I originally took on the memory card show up. Someone suggested that I might have to name files somehow to make the frame recognize the new pictures, but I don't have the instruction manual. Help, please!
