I have a compaq presario v3500 laptop. A couple of days back while surfing the web, it suddenly froze up and stopped working. I had turned it off and tried to restart but it wouldnt start up at all. It shows the power light and for a few seconds it appears as if accessing the hdd but then ..nothing. The OS is Windows Vista and I seem to have lost the recovery disk. Is there anyway of booting it with vista files available from another computer? Will it boot as there seems to be no activity after the power light comes on?
