Question about Gateway Profile 3 PC Desktop
In June of this year my 2002 profile had issues which couldn't be fixed, so the gateway guy had me purchase a new hard drive and more memory. Last week I started having the same issues. Slowing down, shutting off, screen looking like graph paper dots, and hard to start. Got in touch with Gateway tech again and it seemed like the problems was solved, but now it's starting again. Screen just goes to black and there is a "click", there's a silly shut down noicse, it's off, but the power button is still green. Has to be manually shut off. Then's it's terrible to restart! Help! Is it a power problem? Can I fix this one? Got a message yesterday about NVDIA graphics driver--said there was no fix as of yet then asked if I wanted to fix it?!?
You need to uninstall the graphic drivers for the card and install new ones from the makers site.
This can be done in device manager by right clicking in the display adapter and then uninstall. Then reboot and install the new up to date ones. Sounds like the ones you have in now are damaged or corrupt.
Doesnt explain the slowdown though sorry :(
