I just replaced the spark module on my 12 yr old Viking VGRC485-4GD. When I turn on 1 burner, all 4 spark and continue to spark unless I turn on the gas to all 4 burners. at which time all clicking stops. Any ideas?

VGSU161 cooktop, wanted to take it apart to fix it, and was stumped at it's construction. I believe there must be a special set of sockets which fit in the notches in the brass rings to turn them which will release the bottom of the case from the top. You know those bad boys are gunked on there like nobody's business, too. Which of course brings up another point: what do you use to clean that cooked-on gunkus off the surface? It's a head-scratcher for me!

I can't get inside this thing to work on it! Is it welded together? Needs either new ignitor switches or module or ignitors, but I can't even get it apart to troubleshoot it. I'm pretty mechanically inclined, do most of my own work, but this is throwing me. Did I miss something easy? Thanks, John
