Problem for HP Vs17 (Silver) (Gray, Metallic) 17 in. Flat Panel LCD...

Monitor flashes blue light and takes a long time to come on

Over the past 2 days when I turn on the computer, the monitor flashes its blue on light off and on and takes a bit to come on. I have either a HP Pavilion or HPvs17. The monitor is grey or metallic silver in color with the buttons on the side and a circular base.. I would appreciate any advice you can send me way. Help

Disconnect monitor cable from back of the computer and see if u have a error msg on the screen > if u find a error msg like " NO VIDEO SIGNAL"> then ur monitor is fine or else ur monitor is BAD
