I have an apple ibook G4. It won't charge and won't turn on. Have bought another charger but still no response.

You got a DC board problem for sure, since you already bought a new power cord. Your main problem is paying someone to install a new one in, cause its pricey.
You can do this thing yourself, but opening this model up is *****. There are a lot of screws you need to remove and you got to be real careful you don't crack the plastic encasement or loose any of the weird shaped screws.
The Apple nerds in IT were trying to discourage people from working on the iBooks by making them super difficult to open. That way they can charge a shi.lo.d for service. Kinda like what the auto dealership does.

- Your probably out of warranty on this thing so sell it on e-bay as a non-working unit and take the money you make and buy you a Macbook or Powerbook, cause their much easier to work on.The Apple nerds in IT were trying to discourage people from working on the iBooks by making them super difficult to open. hello Um i had the same problem as u. its ur dc board it connections are lose or just broken off inside the machine i had to replace the dc board on my ibook g4 2004Late it cost me about 25$ i recall there on ebay for that price when i got mine.
