Try importing your music into Windows Media Player.
Hook up the mp3 player, make sure all appropriate drivers are on the machine, open Windows Media Player. Windows Media should see it as a device and you will be able to sync songs by either selecting individual tracks and dragging them to the icon of the MP3 player (in the left pane) or syncing all music to the device.
To import custom music folders on a Windows 7 machine: Open windows media player right click on the "music" icon select "manage music library" Chose the "add" button on the right side Find and select your folder.
All of the songs in that folder will be pulled into the music library and you can sync from there
try NOT going through media player as it tries to convert any audio. keep your files as mp3. preferably stored in "My music" file on your computer. then when you connect your psp via USB go to "open folder to view files" then open psp/music file. leave it open and open a "My computer" window my documents/my music, then just click and drag to psp/music file.
Before you even think about installing this player, uninstall window media player 11 and get windows media player 10. Windows Media Player 11 ruins this player. Then, use windows media player 10 to sync music to this GoGear. You can get the software (which is not essential for basic use) at www.philips.com/support - enter country and model #, then click on software & drivers.
i held the volume+ button in while i plugged the usb cable. the computer recognized new hardware was found. i opened the phillips device manager and hit the repair tab. it automatically ran a repair through the mp3. then i installed new firmware through the phillips device manager. i lost all my contents but windows media 11 sync all my music back. THANKS ANYWAY!!!!
Once the device is connected to your computer, you can view . manage the music thru My Computer.
Just click on the device name and you will see the contents and you can delete or add them thru there.
