Problem for Samsung HLR5067WX 50 in. Rear Projection HDTV Television
Samsung HLR5067W replaced color wheel, LAMP light blinks

I have a Samsung HLR5067W that had a busted color wheel. I just replaced the color wheel and the tv sounds 100 times better, but still does teh same thing. By that I mean the LAMP light blinks until the STANDBY light comes on for 2 seconds then it repeats that process 2 more times before all 3 lights (LAMP, STANDBY, TEMP) on the front blink simultaneously. I checked the back of the unit when trying to power on and the lamp never lights up. I want to go ahead and replace the ballast, because it sounds like the problem. Can anyone confirm this solution? Thanks

I'd go ahead and defeat that switch with a twisty tie or zip tie . Also make sure it didn't get broken . The door switch is the little blue thing on it's own little circuit board usually at the bottom left of the lamp hole(looking from the back). I have seen where a warped back can cause the lamp door not to engage the switch.
