Polaroid tv 1421c

I slightly bumped the tv and the screen saver came on. The first time it ever did. It seems to be stuck staying on. If I turn it off i get audio but no video on tv broadcast. The dvd player now doesn't work at all. It's just a bedroom tv so its maybe on an hour a day if that much.

When I attempt to play a dvd it gives a "wrong Region" error and will not play the dvd.

Probably the dvd you are trying to play comes from another country. You need to have a player that comes from that country also. Dvd from u.s. will not play dvd player in asia. the region specification is written on the cover of the dvd. you can find it out if you read them.

DVD player is no longer playing DVDs. It says there's no DVD when I've tried numerous ones. TV is not that old.

Try cleaning your player by a dvd lens cleaner. Buy dvd lens cleaner that has a brush attached to it. if nothing happens you may open your player and clean the lens using a very fine small brush. the number one enemy of dvd players is dust. be careful not to touch the lens with your hands. If still nothing happens you may ask for a repairman to change the lens or buy a new one.

When I turn on the TV, it comes on and cuts right back off.

Most tv sets now have built in protect mode. Once it is turned on, the system will detect some errors on the circuit and automatically turns off to avoid further damage of the circuit. You need to ask for a repair man to open and repair it.

Disc will not eject.

Common cause for a disc not to eject is the loose belt from the motor to the gear that closes or opens the disc tray. You need a repair man to open it and change the belt.

Key icon on polariod television

When your son stepped on the remote apparently the set was put into a lock out mode.Probably several (at least 2) buttons were pushed at the same time. If you still have your owner's manual you might find the answer as to how to unlock you set. If not then you need to call tech support and ask how to unlock it. Stargazer
