get a wireless or blue ray mini mouse. they are more comfortable to use and you can port it in your carry case with ease.

This would need to be replaced if the mouse pad is sensitive you can go to settings* Cintrol panel * under mouse you can select the sensitivity if that does not help you going to need to replace this unit around $50 bucks.. It will need to be installed by a tech if you do not know how to take the old one out.
