Brand new game disc read unreadable

cod4 all ghillied up stgops loading when it is halfway thru and says disc unreadable...i have cleaned it, reatarted it, tried it on different difficulties but it wont work! it works on my dads profile but not mine! help!

mine is doing the same thing it is rediculous 

my xbox 360 console is refusing to play any games whenever i put in a game or movie or cd it says "unreadable disk" and i have tried to switch it on its side and its back and everything but it will not play a single disk.

Playing tales of vesperia and randomly a message will appear saying disc is unreadable. My disc is perfect no scratches and all my other games work so im at a lost for words. What do I do?

in the mid of gears 2 massege comes up disc is unreadable 1clean with a soft cloth 2restart the console but it just doas it again can someone please help.

I just bought a brand new halo 3 game... I put it in the console and it starts up fine. I start the game from the beginning and it works fine, but when the mission is abnout to start, the game comes up with an error message that says " DISC IS UNREADABLE, CLEAN WITH SOFT CLOTH AND RESTART CONSOLE.. But that does not solve it, for i just keep on getting the same message at the same spot over and over.... If there is a solution to fix this.. Please Let me know or just point me in the direction to get this problem remedied.... Thanks any help is appreciated.

while playing gears of war 2 error message "disk is unreadable" comes up in random spots during gameplay. it's very annoying. can someone please help???

While in the middle of playing (Brand New) Brothers in arms Hells Highway, I get a message saying "Disc Unreadable remove and clean the disc" This is very frustrating and I would like some answers.

I have this same exact problem with gears of war 2 whenever i finish a certain mission and start a new one it will say Disc unreadable

brand new game brand new console, i played one game of hockey 09 and now it shows unreadable disc

I recently experienced "the disc is unreadable" when playing rainbow six vegas 2. The disc is scratch free and brand new as the day I bought it. I played the game when I first got it and stopped playing it for a few months to pick it up two days ago and received this message. I tried the original Rainbow Six Vegas and Gears of War with no problems. I experience this message in the main menu and once I got past it but that failed. I tried taking out the HD and i got to the first four minutes and it popped up. I tried clearing the cache, deleting my saved game from the HD and still problems. I messaged xbox with a detailed description and they send me back an email with info I already read online at the website stating to contact them. What's the point of regurgitating something i've already read. Now I need to call them and tell them what's wrong.

I bought my Xbox 360 and GTA IV on Wednesday and can't play it longer than 5 minutes when it stops (at the same place every time) and flashes the "disc unreadable" error message. I do what's suggested - clean, restart, turn console off and on - none of it makes any difference. The disc appears sratch free. The game and xbox herald from the same region.

Does anyone know how to fix this?? I appreciate any help or advice.

I take out the hard drive and the game seems to work fine although the game stops when i get to a certain point in the menu with the drive in. @#$%% annoying

when i nsert any disc i get this msg.."To Play This Disc,Insert In an XBox 360 Console" ...there are no red lights ,still plays DVDs....

i got a new game recently and it plays for a few minutes then it comes up that it is unreadable.

Ya all my other games work perfect, but for some reason i play halo 3 online right before you enter a game it says disc unreadable please clean etc. Also the sound cuts out or is greatly delayed i wish i could find out why.

Well, i bought an Xbox and i've had it for about 9 months and all of the sudden i dont here my disk running thing work. then it says the game is unreadable. my cuz said to call 1-800-4myxbox and they will fix it for aboust 50-100 dollars. so i dont wanna pay so im surfin the internet to see how to fix it, but if nothings good, i'm just gonna send it in. im really mad.

my 360 does the white screen saying insert into a 360 console and also says unreadable disc , funny thing is i put my hard drive in my friends console and works fine, so im thinking probably a lens issue , not sure though, any suggestions?

Sent Xbox in for repair after talking with the hotline for 2 1/2 hours. They sent me a brand new one with new serial numbers. Sent Halo 3 limited edition disc back to Microsoft and got a new disc with no scratches whatsoever. Inserted brand new disc into brand new Xbox 360, got online with xbox live, all party members loaded onto game screen. You could hear and talk as countdown was rolling, countdown ended and then immediately as game is supposed to start out pops the disc unreadable error and we cannot play the game. we can play Call of Duty 4 by Activision, Rainbow Six Vegas, Burnout, and all other games online except Halo3 by Bungie. We can play Halo three offline with the "unreadable disc". Go figure. We just really need a solution other than being on the phone for another 2 hours. Please help!!

I have the same problem. It started last night in the middle of FIFA 08. The game came up with an 'unreadable disk error'. Now none of my games work at all. It tells me that I need to put the disk in an Xbox 360 console whenever I try to load it up. The weird thing is that DVDs still work fine. I talked to Xbox Support and the guy told me that I will have to send it in for repair.

I'm having the same problem. Any solutions?

My 360 is only 6 days old. It was working fine this morning and now it is saying it can't read a disc. I've tried Halo 3, NBA Live 2008, and Madden 08, but it still says the same thing. All the disks are a couple of days old with absolutely no scratches on them. Can someone please help me.
