Question about Hitachi 50UX57B 50" Rear Projection Television

Hatachi 50 inch projection TV

When I turn on the TV I have no power. I have a red power light for a second and then no light. What is the problem?

    I have the same problem. We checked the fuse and it is fine.

    My hitachi just shuts off with no warning. It isn't completley off though as when i hit the power button it turns off the i turn it on again and it stays on for a few the right back off again with the red power light flickering. Any answers out there?

Hey king901, must be a Hitachi gremlin. I have the same problem on the same day - how weird!!! My red light flickers for a second and then goes out. I wonder if it is a power supply problem??? If you find out can you email me at sportygirl651@yahoo.com. Thanks. BTW, my set is about 8 years old.

I have a Hatachi Rear Projection LCD 50 in t.v. and the blue power light comes on then the lamp light & temp light start blinking red and thats all they do.


Start with check/ replacing the lamp. Reference your owners manual for locating the lamp access door as it varies depending on model.

yes this can lead to one not coming on at all there is some kind of short if still under warranty call the manufacturer right away if its older then just ride it out and save your repair money for a new tv good luck

I have the sames t.v you have to go in the back flip the power cord switch...then reboot the t.v.

Turn on power, but no picture, when you turn off power see picture for a few seconds before tv shuts off
