Aspire 5610z cannot post - contiuous beep

This can be caused by the modem/network card poping it's socket. changes in temperature can cause the socket to expand and contract which can cause the modem/nic module to become disengaged, I have resolved a similar problem (on a different laptop) a suitable piece of card or wad of paper can keep the modem/nic from poping it's socket if laid on top of the socket but beneath the casing door (usually modems/nic's are accessible from a door on the underside of the casing)
