DVD stuck inside, player won't turn on, standby light does NOT flash
Hi,
So I have had this player for a couple years and recently it started flashing the standby light, and I read about changing the c316 capacitor out and I did, and it worked great for awhile after that. But all of a sudden it's not working again, and the dvd player won't even eject. The standby light will show the machine's plugged in, and then when I press any button, it goes off for maybe 5 seconds and then just comes back on. I don't even hear any noise going on inside the machine. The capacitor is soldered in and everything, made sure the negative post was on the dashed side, and I know that all of the capacitors look fine, not bulged. What else can it be?
Re: DVD stuck inside, player won't turn on, standby light...
Test the capacitor with a meter to make sure it has the value stated on it. the work on this unit is quickly exceeding its present value, most likely. consider upgrading to a higher resolution unit if the fix is more expensive in parts and time than a new unit costs. good luck mark
