DVD only playback in B&W?

I have a Pioneer XV-dv55 and the LCD tv 37LC55 has scart and Y/Pb/Pb connectors. The Pioneer does not seen to label its ouputs, and I can only get a black and white picture (sound is fine)whatver way I connect them up.
