When we are watching a movie and the surround sound volume is above 45 and a climactic moment arises in the movie (music gets loud all of a sudden), the whole surround sound system shuts off. All you hear is a click and it's off. Then we have to turn it back on and the volume setting is set to the 30's (I've seen it as low as 32 and as high as 39). What could be causing this? The only power we lose is the surround sound system. It's like it's blowing a fuse or something and then resets when we turn it back on. Please help!! Thanks! I bought a JVC TH-S66 surround sound system 12 months ago and recently its started to turn its sound off completely when there is a loud bass sound in a movie (bomb blast, gun shot etc). Sounds like exactly same problem as dj3903's. Pain in the butt because its the special effects that turns the sound off that I bought the system for in the first place!! Have to turn system off completely and restart movie at less than 40 on volume control.

-   We have a JVC surround sound system and when the volume gets to high or a loud part of a movies comes on we hear a click and the sounds dies out completely. We have to turn off, lower the volume and turn it on again. This a consistent problem. How can we fix this???-   allboutme071
The problem on your sub is your speaker is faulty the end of the speaker coil is burnt so at a certain volume it`s makes a short .I hope that would solve your problem:)

Are JVC subwoofers interchangable? I was told my curcuit board was damaged on my subwoofer model #SP-PWA582. I can't find this model # anywhere. I love my home entertainment center and would hate to have to replace the whole system just because my subwoofer died. Can I use any others?
