I turn on the television and the power button flashes and I can't get the television to do anything. Any suggestions?

This is a perfect example of a Television going into the protection mode. By that flashing light on the front panel it's telling you that there is an internal defect. There is no way to bypass that and it would raise safety concerns even if you could. The only solution there is to have the set diagnosed by a professional. If it's more than 10 years old replace the set. If it's less than five years old it might pay you to get a diagnosis. Between 5 and 10 years it's a gamble, you might be better off spending the money on a new TV. Toshiba is a reputable brand and there are many other choices out there.

SONY KV34HS510 always worked perfectly but today it wouldn't turn on by remote or button on TV. It makes the same "click" sound which it always did before coming on but it just immediately clicks again to...

You need to bring it to a TV technician. There is a relay inside the TV which can be blocked by any few errors that may occur in your TV, for protection. Only a tech may discover the problem.

JVC not turning on

Power supply is dead. It may have been damaged due to other failures.

You can send the set for a repair estimate. But, personaly I would be shopping for a new set.

Blinking red light

If your Sony TV is hooked up to a good signal and is set up correctly, but only clicks and has no picture or sound, and even the menu will not show up on the screen, then it means that the main power supply has stopped working. I usually find that a small crack in the solder joint of the horizontal drive transformer or a shorted flyback will cause the large horizontal output transistor to short out, and this shorts out the switching transistors in the main power supply which then causes the Sony 0.1 ohm fuse resistor to open up. I have also seen power surges or power failures (brown-outs) cause the switching transistors to short out. In any case, the set absolutely should be serviced by someone experienced in repairing Sony TV's.
