Question about Toshiba 42H83 42" Rear Projection HDTV-Ready Television
I have been experiencing problems with my Toshiba rear projection TV, which started around two weeks ago and has gotten worse. When I switch on the TV, there are wavy, jagged horizontal lines across the screen. I have had a look at my arial, set top box, cables etc to see if it was any of those causing the problem. Switching the tv off and on again makes the picture appear a little bit clearer, but it's still no way near watchable. I am hoping that it is not the TV as I have only had it for 4 Years! I would like to know if it sounds like a typical description of a problem found with Toshiba rear projection TVs (if there ever is one!)
The problem is going to be a bad NEXT HYPER UNIT module. this is the digital scan card in the tv. try using the componenet inputs and if the tv works ok then you know that the HYPER UNIT is the problem. the reapir process for a "do-it-yourselfer" is too involved and would recommend a serivce center for this repair.
