Color ink senser will not ingage

My color ink cartage senser will not ingage, thus the printer will not print. I have taken the cartage out and replaced it several times. I have inspected the senser, it seems to be intake, it folds with a hitch, and appears undamaged. I have had the printer for 3 years without a problem tell now.

Re: Color ink senser will not ingage

What was telling you it was the sensor, did the printer give you an error message. Is this a standalone unit or hooked to a pc?

You can goto printer settings and choose black and white printing only, it will be there in one of the options of your printer. If your printer has only one cartage Color, then when you rpint in black and white you are using all 3 colors to create this black and white, nothing much you can do there. But if your printer has two cartages 1 black&white, and 1 color then tell it in settings to print only black and white, hope this helps

My printer is printing yellow only

hi, i think the other ink is finished in your printer cartage. i also have the same problem and then i buy a ink refil kit and then fill the cartage with blue and mergenta colour and then it working fine. I suggest while filling the cartage please don't remove the slip, just fill it using injection.

Compatibles wont work

Try this:

The HP all-in-one product will print black copies using both the color and black cartridges to create composite black in Normal and Best modes. This is necessary to create the correct grayscale shades.
  1. The color cartridge may be out of one color of ink. Perform the steps in the 'Colors are not correct' section above to verify that the ink cartridges are not low on ink.
  2. Verify that the correct paper type is selected in the Paper Type setting.
  3. Some photo paper has different chemical characteristics than Hewlett-Packard paper. The HP all-in-one is designed for use with HP Premium and Premium Plus Photo Paper. The photo paper, paper-type setting should be used with HP Photo Paper. For other paper brands, it may be necessary to use the plain paper or premium Inkjet paper, paper-type settings.
OR: The ink cartage you have may be defective if is a refilled or recharged cartage.

I cant print in color

If your trying to only print form a tri-color in cartage and you dont have a black cartage in the 2nd slot as well you might try doing the following

I am not sure whether u can print only using one cartridge(color) with this All-in-One. Check out the following steps nd let me know if they have helped.

1. Remove the Black cartridge from the All-in-One.

2. Open HP Director.

3. Click Settings -->> Print Settings --->> Printer Toolbox.

4. Under the Configuration tab, select One Color cartridge from the drop down list and click apply.

Now,try printing.
