You need to Restore it. Just plug it into the computer you sync it too(it must be that one), open up iTunes and select your iPod in the list to the left, then right under the big picture of your iPod you will see a button that says "Restore," click it. Restoring it will take about 10-15 minutes, but it will take the lock off.

Locked screen

Hi there,

on the top of your ipod, there should be a little slide bar. Slide this over so that no orange is showing on top. This will unlock your ipod for use.

If you have a third gen ipod nano and you locked the screen lock and forgot the code, well what you do is you hook your ipod to your PC,laptop ect. and disconnect it. It should be unlocked. But if you lock it you have to do that over again to unlock it.
