Question about DVD & Blu-Ray Players
I purchased a DVD Karaoke System DKS-7100SQ from LG in Russia and connected it to SAMSUNG plasma display PS-42Q7H purchased in Norway. There is about 1/4 second microphone sound delay in karaoke function. It's unpleasant to sing with such a delay. I tried both standard and SCART connection cables, the result was the same. I also tried to get connected to SAMSUNG home theatre. No improvement, the same delay was there.
At purchase, I successfully tested the functionality of DVD (including karaoke function) at my 4-year old TV in Russia.
I made a search in the Internet. Some other people experienced similar problem even with the other DVD karaoke systems and other TV sets, but no solution was reported.
Any idea of the reason / solution?

instructions for this can be found on the user manual
that is a link to your manual.
If your player has these functions and your user manual doenst have the instructions its maybe cause your model doesnt support it. you may need to contact the manufacturer for details regarding this.
I cant be certin as I dont own that particular model nor do i have experience with that model. If you have a microphone jack then the chances are it supports it.
In most players with this feature there is a karaoke setting and a button on the remote to access it. in some players you will need to access it through the menu button on the remote or karaoke button. Its different in all players.

SOURCE: karaoke not working
Hi, got this info from philips customer service. Was desperately trying to get the karaoke function to work for 2 weeks! Plug in your microphone. Press "KARAOKE" button until you see "MIC OFF" text, and immediately press RIGHT button. It will now shows "MIC ON"! "ECHO", "KEY" options will now shows up when pressing "KARAOKE" button repeatedly. However, microphone sound will not be available on digital output, you'll have to use the audio RCA. Happy singing!
