Remote starter installation - disabled Bose car radio

I jjust recently had my 2007 Pathfinder fitted with a remote starter. The dealership recommended Ziebart to do the install since they didnt provide this service. After they installed the remote starter my Bose stereo that came with the vehicle isn't working, nothing, I see the power comes on to the system but there is no volume, no tuner, no preset, no cd, nothing. I don't know if you have any suggestions on what to try, but the company that installed the remote starter recommended that I take my vehicle to the dealership for them to check everything out.

Re: Remote starter installation - disabled Bose car radio

It could be the stereo has an anti-theft lock-out that requires a code to be put in after the battery is disconnected. Your manual should have the code and instructions on how to enter it, or the dealer can do it.
Hope this helps.

first get a good 2 channel amp,not to expensive,on back of your radio you have inputs and outputs, find remote wire for power to radio (should be blue or yellow wire)depending on your ride.output from radio,(rear/bass/)connect to amp with rca plugs=with remote wire, make sure you have good a ground to amp somewhere on the body of the ride if you dont run to much power you should be fine /if you do run more than100 watts get a good kit and complete this install.

Pyle PLTAB8 Car Component System, Lights will not turn off. Help

Sounds like he did not wire a remote line from your radio to the amplifier, if he put a 12v from the battery to the amp and the remote spot on the amp then it will not turn off, you will need to either wore a toggle switch to the remote so you can turn it off manually or check the back of your radio for a remote line or splice a remote line from the accessory power supply on your radio so the amp will turn on when the radio is on

I need the stock, bose radio, color coded wiring diagram for a 1990 audi quattro v8. I'm trying to put an aftermarket radio in it.

red is 12V plus permanent
if available yellow is 12V switched
illumination is orange or orange-white
black is ground
remote for automatic antenna is blue or blue-white
but be carefull this car has originally built in amplifier so the cables for the speakers might not suite to ur new unit. check it - if u dont use the amp get new wires to speakers in ;)

I have brought and wired everything up but cannot seem to get the remote to work it keeps saying something about a blue wire but the blue wire that came with my package will not fit the remote

The blue remote lead hooks up to your stereo head unit in the dash...when you turn the radio on the remote lead becomes hot(+12V) to turn the amplifier on...without the remote lead the amplifier would stay on all the time and would then drain your battery...the blue lead is a turn on signal sent tot the amp

Power Never Comes on

that remote wire has to be hooked up to the power or the radio power antenna wire which will switch the remote wire on when the radio is turned on, so that remote wire really should be hooked to the radio wire that gets power when the radio is turned on , thats why the sub is not turning on

Bose Radio in 2004 SSR , no sound from CD or Radio but it lights up & changes from CD to Radio! Problem started after getting new Batt. at dealership!

Problem solved by disconnecting hot leed at fuze box located under the front hood for 15 min. This made the radio reset it`s self & it now works better than it did when I bought the truck in 2004! The dealership here in Blue Springs, MO. problably didn`t use the power saving device that is to be pluged into the cig. lighter socket when they installed the new batt.! If you want it done right, do it yourself! Walter Kirk.
