I was given a very older model panasonic vcr model number 4025s with the remote. We can't get the remote to work with the vcr and yes we put brand new batteries in the remote. Any ideas how to get the remote to work with the vcr? When I typed in the model and product below it said its not valid. I typed in the closet item...but my product is a panasonic vcr model pv-4025s

Since the EUR7721x10 remote shipped with specific Panasonic DVD/VCR units, the manual for the DVD/VCR recorder may give you the information that you need. One of the models is the DMR-E75V. (Note: these codes will probably only work on TVs that are older then the programming in the remote.)

I do not know of any available manuals for the remote that are separate from the DVD/VCR Recorder manual. I hope this helps.

To program the remote, press and hold the TV button. Then enter the 2 digit code from the code list. The EUR7724KC0 will only control TVs from about 17 manufacturers that were manufactured before the remote was programmed. If the given code for the TV brand doesn't work or the manufacturer isn't listed, then the remote can't control that TV. I'll list a few of the codes (see the manual, link below, for more):
Panasonic 01, 02
RCA 03
Samsung 14

The EUR7724KC0 remote came with several devices including the PV-D4734S DVD/VCR. The directions for programming the TV code are on page 28 of that manual. The code list is on page 29. This manual is available from Panasonic here: http://service.us.panasonic.com/OPERMANPDF/PVD4734S.pdf . Since this particular DVD/VCR model was listed at Amazon in 2004, it probably won't work for TVs built in that year or later.

yes, a universal remote will work with your TV. But make sure you check the manual for the remote control check for your TV model and brand before you purchase.

I believe your TV is Panasonic, therefore, if you don't find Panasonic and its code on the remote manual, please do not buy.
