Question about Sony VPL CS6 Multimedia Projector
The lamp on the projector stopped working and so wasreplaced... this did not solve the problem and am wondering if anyone has come across this type of problem or has any suggestions to get this great projector up and running again...
the projector powers up ... lens cover opens .... props itself up on its middle leg.... and after about 20-30 seconds winds down and closes lens cover ... all without the lamp powering up
things i have checked : continuity from the lamp socket to bulb... checked for voltage but was only 10v ac from the socket that the bulb housing connects to.... i just dont know what to look for next
thanks in advance to any one for checking this out
Make sure the interlock switch is activated by the cover of the lamp.
Can't measure a voltage with the lamp cover open. High voltage is powering the lamp from an smps or ballast supply. If lamp is New, cover switch is good, then the lamp power supply could be faulty.
