Question about Saeco Royal Professional Espresso Machine

1 Answer

Water tank empty

I have just purchesed a Saeco Royal coffee machine second hand. After cleaning it, adding the beans and filling the water tank I switch it on and it runs a test telling me the water tank is empty when it isn't. I cannot go any further. Is there a valve or sensor not working or a simple solution to get it to recognise the water tank?

Barista supremo thinks it doesn't have coffee beans The red light comes on, doesn't it? The light indicates that the water tank could be empty or the drip tray is full. Tell the coffee machine that it has enough beans, but to please the machine you will fill the water tank and empty the drip tray. Good luck, kolbrun

I installed an extenal waterline to my new saeco royal professional coffee bar machine however instead of the water filling the tank it is running inside and leaking out of the side of the machine. the...

The water line to the back of the machine does not fill the tank. There is a pressure reducer/ isolation valve inside at the water connection that switches between using the tank or outside line. Is it leaking a lot of water or just leaking a little? I have seen them get a crack from shipping. You can still use the water tank until you can get the situation fixed. There is a selection in the menu that you choose for which way you want to go. Direct connection or water tank. If you put water in the tank it will tell you that your tank is empty. You have to go into the menu and change it to direct connection OFF, push the menu button and then exit.

New machine out of the box says "warming up" and that's all

Please check the connections on the board ( when you look from right hand side through the grill ) are all connected. It is possible one of the sensor wire is disconnected while in transport.

Saeco Coffee machine water tank empty

It is possible that the water sensor on the back panel of the machine is not operating, you will have to remove the back panel and check the sensor with an ohmsmeter.

Saeco magic comfort coffee machine grinder

Make sure you not get any water in the grinder, if you got water in the grinder then you have to clean it.

You can try to set grinding to coarse and try to make 3 cup of coffee.

You have the go into the menu and change the setting on the "direct water supply" option to off. Your machine comes from the factory set to use direct water feed. This option tells the machine water supply to use.

The machine won't start up

in the self test does it flush the unit ? If not you have to prime the unit by allowing it to pump hot water through the frothing valve. Open the valve and the pump should pulse water out. After this the machine should indicate it is in the operating mode for coffee
