I am trying to get my usb port to work with an adapter for a 9 pin serial with my embroidery sewing machine. The serial port wont open. Thanks.

First thing is: -Did the USB to serial come with a CD? -Have you installed the drivers from the CD? -What operating system (Vista/XP/other) do you have on the computer? There are issues at times with the USB to DB9 serial connectors... the drivers causes Blue screen of death. There are conflicts with the operating software on the computer.
