My Intuos3 Tablet should be working, because a blue light is turned on when it's plugged in, [as it should,] but when I either bring its pen very close to the tablet or make contact, it should change to green to show that the tablet's registered its proximity, and it should, of course, move the mouse.
Instead, when I touch the pen to the tablet, not only does the light not switch from blue to green, but nothing happens whatsoever. The mouse doesn't move, the light stays blue, and everything acts as if the pen's not even there.
I'd very much appreciate if anyone would help me out: How do I get the pen to function as it should?

I also have the same problem, using vista ultimate edition un-installed the driver re-installed the driver...tried system restore also no good. Also when the mouse is on the tablet it is trying to do something (windows is making audible bleep for USB device plugged/unplugged)
Just had a pop-up in the system tray saying a USB device has stopped working or has malfunctioned.
At first thought it had just died so I tried it another PC to discount that, it worked fine on the other PC.
Any help at all would be great.
Update it's fixed not sure why maybe a faulty USB hub as i tried it in one of the PC's USB plugs.

Same exact issue, same tablet model- I tried re loading the driver multiple times, un-installing and re-installing the tablet. It worked at one point, but suddenly stopped, giving a pop-up saying "The Tablet Driver is not working", and then, when re-installed again, nothing at all.
