Question about Jenn-Air JCD2389G Side by Side Refrigerator
Hi,I have a samsung RS255BABB side by side fridge. My refrigerator seems to be working fine but the freezer stays at about 70 degrees.I opened the panel in the freezer and it looks like the (condenser)not sure what it's called is frozen up top..Any advise would be greatly appreciated.....Thank you!!!!!!
Defrost timer or heater coils are bad. The fan could also not be working that circulates the air. Put everything in an ice chest and unplug the unit. Put plenty of towels around it. Leave the freezer door open. It will thaw out and when no more water is coming out into the pan under the unit, plug it back in. It should work again, but it will do it again in a few days, so you will need to find out if the coils are the culprit or if the timer is not turning anymore. The timer is under the unit on one side and can be advanced with a flat blade screwdriver. Turn it until the fridge shuts down. See if it comes back on after an hour or so. If not it is bad, even so the contacts that operate the heating elements could be bad as well. If this is all over your head then it is best to enlist the help of a handyman.
