Signal strenght just gone!

I have three laptops at home, two of em' running with vista :( and the last one, a classic, running with XP SP2, the vista ones have no problem to connect to the wireless network, but I tried using my 2wire 802.11 wireless card and got No Signal at all, it shows the network, it says it's in range, but no signal, and obviously is unable to connect, I tried changing the scurity settings but nothing seems to work. can someone help me with that little problem? my router is a Dlink DIR 615, which is good enough for three computers in a small house.

Wireless card suddenly cannot detect any signals

I would suspect ya adapter.. the ONLY way to sort it is to try it in another PC see if it works.. USB devices seem to be very flimsy and we get heaps of 'em in the shop.. 9 times outa 10 it's the USB device gone weird.. substitution is the only way to isolate the problem.

Asus 802.11 a/b/g wireless adapter problem

The problem could be with the wireless network that you are trying to access, or it has something to do with you wireless card tcp/ip protocol.

where you using the same computer now, when you had this issue with the vista? or is this win XP pc that you have now is a different computer?

if you are getting limited or no connectivity, that means that the access point (wireless signal) is not giving you a valid IP address.

you can try to add static to your IP settings, but this will only work if you knew the IP range of that network that you are trying to access.

please provide more info
