Re: ink catridge leaking
If you just get the ink and if is leaking you can return it to the store i have had working with canon for long time and no problems at all but always is a first time so that is probably the one in one million of defected from factory or bad transportation

you most proberbly have a clogged black catridge. try cleaning from the printer's maintenace tab. if it doesnt improve after a few cleans, do a deep clean. if it still doesnt work and you dnt feel like buying a new catridge yet, steam the nozzle of the catridge. these steps almost always do it, if not, just get a new catridge and voila!
That used to happen to me as well. It turned out that when I left the paper standing in the tray, it would bend slightly at the end. I stopped leaving the paper in the tray in the afternoons and only putting it in when i needed to print and that seemed to solve the problem. A hassle I know but thats the cost of buying a photo printer to do office jobs.
It's because you touched the connection side of the cartidge. Clean it with some contact cleaner(or surgical sprit)and let it dry.If possible clean the printer side of catridge contact. After both are dried well, put the catridge back.it must work.
