Question about Adobe Photoshop 7.0 for PC

1 Answer

My computer meets all the system requirments but device will not turn on

When I push the power button on the console, instead of turning on, I get a message saying that digital arts and crafts studio has encountered a problem and needs to close.
I have triple checked all my settings and have no idea what else could be causing a problem. But i know its about to encounter an even bigger problem when I tell my daughter that she can't use it.

It is a video card issue

1. Bring the "Display Properties" dialog window (right-click on the desktop, click on Properties)
2. Click on the "Settings" tab. (make sure your screen resolution is set to 1024 by 768, and the color quality is 32 bits)
3. Click on the "Advance" button (this will bring a new dialog box)

On the newly opened dialog box:
4. Click on the "Troubleshoot" tab
5. Set the "Hardware acceleration" to "Full" (drag the slider all the way to where it says "Full")
6. Click "Apply", then "Ok" (this will close the dialog box)
7. Close the "Display Properties" dialog window by clicking on the OK button.

Try turning the toy ON now. I hope this helps.

When I push the power button on my HP M9060N , it was coming on ok but then it got to where I had to turn on my power bar and wait thirty minutes to turn on computer, its getting now where it needs to be...

More than likely yes. It isn't good practice to cut power to your PC every night. Although I understand that you are most likely doing this for energy savings, it isn't necessary and isn't good for your PC.

A replacement power supply for your computer, according to its spec sheet, must be at least 350W. Power supplies are variable in quality, you get what you pay for.

I recommend a Corsair CMPSU-430CX because I've personally had good experience with their products, and this power supply is relatively inexpensive and meets your requirements.

If you do not feel comfortable with replacing it yourself, there are numerous services that will replace it for you, just make sure they don't replace you power supply with a low quality one.

The playstation is connected to the tv. I can hear the sound but there is no picture.

Have you changed the connection you have the PS3 hooked up to the TV with? If so, instead of pushing the PS button on the controller to turn the console on, push and hold the power button on the console for a few seconds. You should get picture shortly after. This resets the PS3's output settings and makes it detect the type of connection you are using.

What is the word rebooting?

Depends on how it's used.

1) "Boot your computer up", may refer to simply turning the computer on.

2) "Reboot your computer", may refer to turning the computer completely off, waiting 20 seconds, then turning the computer back on.

3) The Windows operating system has a Boot Record, which is located on a Boot Sector on one of the Platters in the Harddrive.
These are the basic Windows files.

The computer can also be booted off of another source than the Harddrive.
It can be booted off of a Floppy Drive disk, USB thumb drive, CD disk, or from the internet, to name a few sources.

Therefore it can also mean to reboot off of one of the above sources, instead of the Harddrive.

I am attempting to adjust my wii remote sensitivity. The minus button will not work. it is currently set at 5...when I press the plus button it beeps as if I am adjusting in the positive, however when I...

Hi,

Here are few Home remedies that should help you fix the issue. If you still face any problems then it is an internal issue with your remote and you will have to contact the nintendo support.
  1. Clean the Wii remote pointer lens. Use a soft cloth to remove any sticky substances. Wii remote jackets, stickers or other objects should not block the remote pointer lens, as it will cause characters to move erratically, disappear or remain off-center.

  2. Operate the Wii remote between three to eight feet away from the sensor. Otherwise, it will not perform properly.

  3. Note that infra-red lights from candles, toys, appliances, fireplaces and even sunlight may effect how the Wii remote performs. Try to remove or reduce infra-red interference from these sources when possible.

  4. Turn off or move wireless devices located near the Wii console. You may be experiencing radio frequency interference from other wireless devices.
  5. Check to see if anything is blocking the sensor. Clear objects away from the sensor and console to enable the remote to send a clear signal to the Wii system.
  6. Center the sensor bar directly below or above your television. Having the sensor off-center may cause the Wii remote to perform poorly.
Re-sync the Wii remote to the Wii system:
  1. Completely turn off the Wii system. Remove the batteries from the remote. Turn the power off on the Wii console. Unplug the unit from the wall. Wait five seconds and then replug the unit into the wall.

  2. Push the power button to turn on the Wii console. After the health and safety screen appears, open the small door on the front of the Wii console. Locate the red SYNC button. Push down on the SYNC button for fifteen seconds. This resets all previous SYNCS on the Wii system.

  3. Re-sync the Wii remote. Locate the red button on the remote control under the battery cover. Push and release this red button. The Wii remote should respond with blinking blue lights.

  4. Push and release the red SYNC button on the Wii console. Place the batteries back in the remote. When the remote is successfully re-synced, the LED light will remain lit.

  5. Repeat the re-syncing process with all other Wii remotes on this system.
Thank You

My computer wont turn on

Sound like 'classic' failing capacitor symptoms to me... RMA the power supply if you're able to, start scraping together some cash for either a rebuild (replace capacitors) if you can't OR purchase a NEW PSU

Once you get the system running... I would recommend you leave it turned on 24/7 as this will keep the failing capacitors at a static temperature (instead of the heating/cooling cycle) thus milking the last bit off life out of it while you secure a replacement unit.

No vga by pushing port buttons

In order to fully answer your question, a number of needful things must be inspected, reinstalled, confirmed, & tested:
  1. Reset. Try the reset button. You could use a paper clip to reach the reset button through the pin hole in the lower front left of the Zonet KVM unit.
  2. Inspect connectors. Each data/input/power connector/port requires all of its pins to be present & straight for full functionality.
    1. Inspect the entire length of each cable & cord to ensure that each has no damaged area.
    2. Seat each connector in the appropriate port of a computer that will be accessed via the KVM unit.
  3. Electricity. Inspect all affected devices & confirm that each has sufficient, uninterrupted electricity.
    1. It is possible for a Zonet KVM unit to display channel lights without direct power to the unit, but you should confirm that the unit is getting sufficient, uninterrupted electricity-directly through its own power cord. Unplug the KVM power cord & every connector & reseat each one (this performs a power reset on the KVM unit)-making sure that each connector is in the correct location (not just where it originally was). Thus, make sure that the keyboard, video display (monitor), & mouse are on the output side.
    2. Press the power button on your monitor. If it does not turn off the monitor's power status light (Off/On/Standby), then remove the power cord from the monitor & reseat it-to reset the monitor's hardware. If it does not turn on the monitor's power status light, then the monitor is either not getting enough electricity or it has a malfunction which requires troubleshooting & fixing (possibly through a fixya.com thread for that monitor model).
    3. Unlike USB devices, PS/2 devices usually require device connection prior to turning on that device. With that said, connect the keyboard & mouse KVM channel cable connectors to the computers & then turn on those computers that you intend to display through the KVM-connected monitor & then turn on these computers.
    4. Any computer that does not turn on has an issue that requires resolving (just like a monitor that would not turn on).
    5. Sometimes a keyboard/mouse interface issue can be resolved by replacing that interface device.
  4. The KVM Unit. When all else properly connects & performs, what does not properly connect & perform has the issue &, hopefully, that can be repaired without having to replace it.
