You need to switch the player to MSC mode. Got to settings -> USB -> MSC. Then you will be able to format the drive. If it is in MTP mode you can only tranfer files using Media player.

My SA 1110/02 Mp3 philips Cannot read a Music on the Mp3 What is the solution of that problem PLSS ans.

If you have important media files please backup it. Then try format the memory of your player in this way:
1. Connect your player to the PC
2. Open windows explorer
3. Open "My computer", select your player
4. Right click and select "Format". Select FAT or FAT32 file system and press start to format your player.
5. Copy back the media files then try out, it is OK or not.

If this format didn't fix the problem, upgrade the player using this step by step information that is readable at the manufacturer's website:

http://www.p4c.philips.com/cgi-bin/dcbint/cpindex.pl?scy=SA&mid=Link_FAQs&view=aa12_view_partial.html&session=20110906095809_93.189.114.198&list=aa12_list_partial.html&slg=ENG&ctn=SA1110/02&dct=FAQ&refnr=0052940&faqview=1

I hope your player will work fine again.
Thanks.

How do i fix a disk error on a mp3 player

There are several possible solutions to your problem.
First, try restarting your MP3 player.
Second, try connecting it to your computer to sync with your music management software.
If the first two options don't work, then you need to format the MP3 player because some of the data is potentially corrupted. Be sure to back up your music before formatting the MP3 player.
To format the device: Plug it in to your computer In Windows Explorer, right-click on the device and click Format. Perform a quick format.
After formatting the device, reload it with music and the disk errors should be gone. If these solutions do not work, then your problem is probably due to a hardware failure. If the hardware has failed, your best option is to consult your warranty information.

I had similar problems with mine. I tried updating the firmware, but that didn't help. What there is on the firmware 1.2 upgrade is an option to format the player. I used this option and the player is now functioning correctly

Won't play (transfer, format, view contents in explorer OK, though...)

Does you player powers on? If no, then you have a problem with the battery pack of your mp3 player. If yes, what file system did you use in formatting your mp3 player? If it's ntfs, try formatting it using fat or fat32. Maybe your mp3 player cannot use the ntfs file system.

No files found on mp3 player

One very important tool when using file transfer is windows explorer. Keep your flash drive connected. Go to Start/Accessories/windows explorer (or with the keyboard shortcut: the windows + the letter e).
