please test the fuse for open or dirty or corrosion or bad contact. 2) tight the wires connector very well. 3) see if the connection are propely connected and not missing see the diagram attached. God bless you
hi, your best bet is to go to a stereo sales place like best buy and get an install kit specifically for your car, that way there is no cutting wires, everything will just plug right in and they sell kits that will allow you to install aftermarket units directly into the dash without cutting anything. Very professional.
Did you or someone put the stereo in?Or is it the original factory radio? If it is a new installation you missed a wire that is 12volts all the time weather the car is on or off that holds the memory.
That's weird that they won't help you out. Usually if the stereo is in the car and you show proof of ownership of the vehicle, they'll give you the code for a fee. I'd call another Audi dealer (or a VW dealer - same corporation so they should be able to help) and see if they'll do it for you. Typically they look up the code based on the VIN of the vehicle, but obviously since your stereo was replaced they can't do it that way. Hopefully another dealer will be more understanding of the situation and will help you out. That's the only way to get it though.
