It keeps turning itself off about being on a few

It sounds like it's developed a serious fault, is it still under warranty or manufacturer return?

It is trying to save battery power. Just turn it off yourself when you finish. Read the manual and try to discover if there is a way to choose the idle time before it powers down.

If you have replaced the inverter board inside the LCD display with a known good one then the most likely cause for your issue is a bad or failing LCD bulb. An easy way to tell if this is the case is in the few seconds that the backlight is working see if you notice a slight pinkish hue in the light. This means that there is a mico-fracture in the bulb itself, as the inverter board supplies power to the failing bulb it heats up and shuts off. LCD bulbs in laptop screens can be replaced but this is not something I recommend for anyone but a VERY advanced user with the correct tools are his or her disposal. I needed, I can provide you with a step by step explanation. If you do not feel that you can handle a bulb replacement then the easiest thing you can do is replace the LCD itself.

Try swapping the monitor cable from the working monitor to the other video connection on your computer. Effectively reversing the connections to isolate whether your problem is the video card in your computer or the monitor itself. If you find the working monitor displaying similar symptoms, then check your video drivers and ensure that you have all power saving features, screen savers, etc... turned off.

Hi I have an Indesit WE16 with some of those symptoms and cannot figure it out - so please don't rate this as useless yet! I am beginning to suspect a bad connection to the motor and I have noticed that the drum only turns anticlockwise in my case - if the program calls for clockwise rotation the machine just hums for a few seconds and then stops.

Does this apply to your machine?

I just upgraded from firmware version 1.01.14 to 1.01.22 and I have the same problem, the router just keeps resetting itself. I think the solution is to go back to the old firmware, but I haven't been able to find a copy yet, Once I find firmware version 1.01.14 for the WRT54GX2 router. I will let you know if this is the solution... :)

I had the same problem with mine turning off after 3-5 seconds. After much research I found a suggestion that on some combo units the vcr part could have a power supply cutout if it is not working correctly. I tried to insert a tape and found that the tape mechanism would not accept a tape. I used a little bit of force and managed to insert a tape. I then played the tape forwards and backwards and the power stayed on! I ejected the tape and found the TV then worked just fine. The power has now been on for over one hour. I hope this give you another avenue to try and fix your problem.

the red symbol is the erasure prevention slider on the tape. check it's not on or push the slider on and off prevention. this should fix the red symbol, you might have to do it a couple of times before it works. not sure what F14 is can't find it in the manual. try the solution here. if it still turns off after a few seconds i have another way to fix the power.

Have you checked the light on your power supply? My monitor will go black and I noticed the light on my AC power supply was off. It was very hot so I unplugged it and let it cool down. When I plugged it back in my monitor worked fine until the power supply started to over heat again.
